Lucy was born in 2015. She is a mix of a number of breeds with Cotswold and BFL being the largest portion. Her fleece is crimpy like the BFL, longwool. She is a quiet sheep, unlike her namesake Lucille Ball.
Adopt a Sheep | Lucy
The adoption lasts for one year from the start date. During this time you will receive updates on what is happening here on the farm. Your adoption fee includes your sheep's story, 6 notecards with your sheep's picture, and the fleece from your adopted sheep. These make great gift announcements if you are adopting the sheep for someone else. Your raw wool fleece will be washed and mailed to you, all included in the Adopt a Sheep fee. This makes a wonderful gift for the hard to buy for hand spinner or fiber artist, a 7th year anniversary gift of wool, and not to mention a great gift for yourself!
Please note that the shipping charge paid is for the wool to be sent priority mail, the welcome packet (which is sent as soon as the adoption begins) is sent first class mail. If you need it in a rush I can email information to be printed for gift giving, or contact me about priority shipping.
If you would like to receive ready-to-spin wool rovings, we will be glad to have your fleece carded at the local mill. There is an additional mill fee, $30. Please add the milling fee to your cart with the adoption for this option.
